Lunchtimes at Crossley Hall Primary School
Lunchtime is an important part of a child’s school day, giving pupils a break with their friends and the chance to recharge their batteries ready for the afternoon’s activities.
The meals which are provided by the school are of a very high standard and most of them are prepared in our school kitchen. There is always a choice of menu, including vegetarian and authentic Halal options, which are clearly labelled. All main meals are accompanied with potatoes, fresh bread, seasonal vegetables, and either salad or rice and dessert includes a portion of fruit.
Our Autumn Term 2 menu can be found at the bottom of this page.
If you wish for your child(ren) to have a school lunch, the cost of a school meal is £1.70 and £8.50 a week. This needs to be paid for using Parent Pay. For Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 it is provided free.
If you believe that you may be eligible for free school meals, all information can be found below.

If you would prefer your child to have a packed lunch it should be placed in a named lunch box. We ask that you do not send sweets or chocolate bars. We have a number of children in school with nut allergies and therefore ask that you do not send nuts into school as a snack.
Packed lunches are not stored in the fridge so please be aware that lunches should not contain any perishable items. Water is provided for all children at lunchtime.
